Disney Rocks!

We are having a great time in Walt Disney World! Jon had a conference here and we all tagged along. We went to the Magic Kingdom yesterday. The kids loved it. We went on all the rides in Fantasyland and also the Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and the Tiki Room. I wish we would've been able to go a second day because by two in the afternoon, the kids and I were pooped. We came back to the hotel just for a quick break. Four hours later, we made it back to the Kingdom just in time to see the lighted parade. They really loved that.

I am going to complain here for just a second, but let me preface this by saying I am so thankful for being able to go on this trip. I wish we could have done so many other things with and for the kids. There were cute little girls everywhere dressed up like Disney Princesses. There is a special salon that will give the girls a princess do. I wanted that for Sarah. She thought all the girls were really pretty and when I explained why we couldn't do that, she was very good about it. She didn't whine or cry, just an "okay, Mommy", and we were off to the next thing. I think that's one of the great things about my kids. They accept what they are given and don't feel the need to beg and cry for more. I love that! Also, we didn't get to meet any of the princesses or get any autographs. Sarah was a little upset about that, but when I reminded her that she got to play games with Mickey and Pluto and Tigger and Pooh, she was okay with not having them. AJ was just happy to see Goofy and Tigger. He didn't really want to have anything to do with them, just seeing them was enough.

We went for the extra magic hours for the little ones and a lot of the characters were out to play games. But the early start meant the kids were getting antsy and tired by the time we left. I was Buzz Lightyear and Monsters, Inc. I don't know why I'm focusing on all the negative stuff though. They got to do and see a lot of things. One of my favorites was seeing Mickey's Philharmagic show. And also Jack Sparrow doing his pirate tutorial outside of the Pirates ride. The actor they got to play him was dead on! Plus his side-kick was hilarious. I can't wait to come back. It might be several years, but we will come back and for longer next time.

It is late and I should not be here doing this. I should be home spending quality time with my husband. This kids are in bed. Definitely time for "quality time". Instead, I'm online. Lately, I've been obsessed. I want everything to be current and up to date. Not just here on this blog, but everywhere else that I've integrated to. Getting with the times sure takes a lot of time. Between downloading and updating and everything else, is it really worth it? I'd have to say so far, yes. I found my best friend from junior high and freshman year. I hadn't spoken to her in probably ten years. It's surreal to think about how much our lives have changed since then. So much to catch each other up on. It's cool though. That's really all the time I have for today. Not that anyone else will really care, this is mainly just for me. :) Later.

First Blog Ever

This is my very first blog. I've only just recently gotten somewhat steady access to the internet and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I've set up a myspace page and created a whole website for my photos. I like the creative outlets the internet gives me. I scrapbook, a lot, and love to take pictures, so this is another way to express this creativity that is always present. I think I'll like this.
